Legare Bailey and Hinske, LLC began in 1996 under the name LegareBailey, LLC, located in the West Ashley area of Charleston, South Carolina. Dan Legare spent his early accounting career as a sole practitioner in public accounting as well as a professor at Charleston Southern University. Mark Bailey started his accounting career with Deloitte & Touche, focusing primarily on audit and taxation, and worked as a controller for an auto aftermarket retail company before starting LegareBailey, LLC with Dan Legare in 1996. In July 2005, the firm moved to its present location in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina.
In 2007, after spending 12 years as a senior tax manager at Dixon Hughes, PLLC (and formerly Gamble Givens and Moody, LLC), Joseph Hinske joined the firm and became partner in 2009. His expertise includes the taxation of estates and trusts and flow-through entity taxation.
As a full service accounting firm, we have merged the experience of our partners together with our present staff of six associates, some of whom held management and supervisory positions at regional public accounting firms prior to joining Legare, Bailey and Hinske, LLC. Our talented team includes seven Certified Public Accountants and two Certified Business Valuation Analysts. While our office is located in Mt. Pleasant, we also service clients in the Charleston area as well the tri-county area surrounding Charleston.
